Karen, back to you. Thank you so much. Developing story to begin with right now at 4 03, from west philadelphia, we know woman has died after police chase came to crashing end. It all began with some gunshots, escalate today a pursuit, police say, the victim was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Weve got steve keeley on this one, over at police headquarters, so, steve, what do we know at this early hour . She was in the right place at the right time. She was doing everything legally. She was just sitting in her car going by the traffic laws. Sitting waiting for a light to change. And she ends up getting killed. Two guys who tried to kill other guys in another car with their guns ended up killing her with her car. She is an innocent 56 year old woman, driving her kia sole, waiting for the 52nd and locust lights to change just past 7 00. You see in video one, a black nissan going through that red light, smashed into the kia, which you now see here in video two, got thrown up against another car and pushed up on to the sidewalk. The 56 year old woman pronounced dead within the hour at 8 10. The two guys inside the nissan only hurt slightly in the police words in this crash. Not hit by the earlier gunfire. Although, their nissan has bullet holes in it. And inside the nissan, police find a 9millimeter gun with a extended magazine, that holds many bullets, that police got Surveillance Video of showing the car to car gun fight that started all of this, that officers on patrol nearby had overheard. We pulled some video from a store around 48th and westminster. And we see depict in the that video this car, the nissan, and another vehicle, involved in some altercation, and gunshots were fired, from the black nissan, and a white vehicle, so there was a shoot that did occur, the officers did follow that vehicle, with their lights and sirens on, car does not spot. They pursue that vehicle for several blocks to the intersection of 52nd and locust, which is directly behind me. At that time the nissan, that is being pursued by at least two Police Vehicles strikes a vehicle that is going eastbound on locust street, striking that vehicle, unfortunately, the driver that far vehicle was pronounced at Presbyterian Hospital around 8 10. Well, police have not yet found that white car originally shooting at the black nissan. So, the obvious question was the Police Pursuit justified . Where of course there will be official investigation, but you talk to police, they say, when you have got lives in jeopardy, you just cant have people shooting guns on the street of philadelphia and driving around, shooting at each other. And then just let them drive off like nothing happened, because they take off. Sadly, criminals, guns, not the only thing we can see as we kill here, so can their car. These guys will be charged with the 56 year old womans death. And for the whole family, such a tragedy, steve. Also, following g breaking news coming to us from washington state. Police officer has died thereafter being shot several times while responding to a Domestic Violence call in tacoma overnight. They have not identified that officer. At this hour police have that suspects home surrounded, and the neighborhood is still on lockdown. They are not sure if the suspect is barricaded in the home or fled, while that officer was being taken to the hospital. Also, right now, another developing story. In that hitandrun case, the little girl, eight year old gianna powell, developing right now, that child, they have an arrest. Police say they have 24 year old man in custody. We spoke with her parent yesterday, they were on good day, talked to many calling and pleading with the community for help. Yesterday fox 29 cameras were there, as the suspects Nissan Altima was impounded apparently the man was brought to the Police DepartmentsAccident Investigation Division, for questioning. At this point police have not announced charges p. Investigators say they received a tip that the suspects car was at an auto body shop in frazier, chester county. Police drove 30 plus miles to the shop to take a closer look at the car and ultimately have it towed to their impounds lot. Police believe this was the car involved in the fatal hitandrun of eight year old gianna powell, the little girl killed two weeks ago when she and her brother were walking home from school, and attempted to cross lansdowne avenue at 63rd street. Now we have a picture of the guy that police say did i it. This is Police Officers say they were stopping to talk with that guy, 32 years old, ceasar or telling a, to question him about possibly breaking into a car. Cops say that then that suspect punched, kicked, head butted and bit the officers breaking their skin. I know an officer, a lot of times, 35 years ago, got bitten by a female. He was multiple surgeries, over the course of years. I mean, infection just set in, tore his body up. So human bite, the human mouth actually not the best thing in the world when you talk about breaking skin. Both officers did go to the hospital to have those wounds cleaned out, were told theyre doing just fine, and or telling a facing long list of charges.
