That means these big gusts have potential to take down trees, limbs and power lines, some scattered Power Outages are expect. Still ahead on good day philadelphia tens of thousands of residents forced out of their homes after the orville dam threatens to collapse. Plus, full speed ahead for uber and lyft, why the Ride Services are finally getting the green light in new jersey. Hi there, bob. Hi gang, lots of green lights this morning rolling out of the driveway, no problems on the major roadways , 4 10 as we go for a ride south on the blue route construction coming our way, and, hold on, to the wheel this morning look at the flags blowing as we look live downtown, on ben franklin parkway, sueby has your full monday forecast when we come right back. Welcome back on this windy morning, great to have you with us on this monday, time right now 4 13. Nearly 200,000 residents in Northern California are evacuating this morning after an emergency at one of the nations largest dams. Officials say a secondary spillway at orville dam have eroded and could fail at anytime. If that happens, water could flood the immediate town there home to about 16,000 people. The efforts by dwr to lower the lake level by utilizing the spillway to reduce the water, has been effective and now there is no more water going over the emergency sill way. We need to give the department of Water Resources time to thoroughly evaluate the situation so that we can make decisions as to whether or not it is safe to repopulate areas beyond that town other areas have been evacuated as well, that is why it is close to 200,000 evacuations. Hundreds of Law Enforcement officers around the state are in the the area to help with the evacuation. There is a new powerful snowstorm blasting the northeast dodging this bullet because parts of the maine, upstate new york could be seeing another 2 feet of snow from this storm as well as blizzard conditions. This latest storm, of course, comes days after the system that dumped nearly 20 inches of snow in some of those areas id say we have a good break there, sue. Yes, from the the snow but not from the wind and that is what were going to feel today , all about the wind on this monday with a wind advisory in effect for lighter colored areas to the north and all of delaware and all of south jersey under a high wind warning, and that is about the highest we can get to warn you about wind with gusts that is possible to 50 to 60 miles an hour. So, the tree limbs could be broken, i dont know about you but i saw a lot of those on my way in already this morning. Some trees could come down. Ground is still mushy from the rain we had yesterday, so wont take much to bring certain trees down and power lines could come down too. Crews are trying to prepare for that throughout the day, so if the power goes out the today dont be surprised it is because of the high wind. Right the now we have temperatures that are mostly in the 30s but factor in the wind, and it feels a lot colder then that. The these are your wind chills out there this morning. The it feels like the 20s. That wind will go right through you, because wind right now are gusting as high as 46 miles an hour in the city, 36 miles an hour in mount pocono. 40 miles an hour in wrightstown. 31 miles an hour. All these high wind gusts proving natalie warnings were warranted. So looking ahead i think worst of it will be in the early part of the the day, 30, 40 miles an hour wind gusts, maybe even more especially along the coasts, closest to the storm that is bringing us, all of that wind, although storm affecting new england we just talk about and as then toward the afternoon and evening it will be maybe 20 miles an hour wind gusts or less and then tonight things will calm down just in time for valentines day. So again early part of today is the worst but wind advisory and high win warning in effect until 6 00 p. M. It is that roller coaster ride we told but last week. Fridays high was only 34 degrees. We got to 56 on saturday. With the rain yesterday it was a high of 45. Today about 41, 42 degrees and then milder, pretty lovely day actually for tuesday, valentines day, and then lucky seven there, hopefully to you get lucky tomorrow. 48 degrees, on wednesday and then look at that warming trend by the time we get the to the weekend we could see a high of around 60 degrees on sunday, bob kelly. Good morning, on a monday, up and at it, definitely windy as we have been showing you the pictures, the flags, heres a live look at i95 at 4 16 a. M. Down near philly international. No problems. You will wills find debris, flying all over the place, sue bypassed it the this this morning on i9 56789 i saw it on 202. Heres ben franklin bridge a great example of the flag blowing atop the toll plaza there. Look at, all of the construction zones, because if any of those signs are not held down by say those big san bags we will have a 10enscy to see those signs flying up and over guardrails. Be ready for that like the construction zones here on i95 at girard avenue, portions of 422, even 202. Philly international okay at the moment but just watch for possible wind delays, not just here in philadelphia but also in other cities, throughout the morning, and market frankford line no problems to report, were probably going to have a regular morning rush hour with just trains and in buses, repeat of what they did , on friday, of course, they have Night Owl Service running until will 5 00 oclock no problems out of the gaeton septas Regional Rail lines but those high wind hopefully will not bring down any of the trees, and as a domino effect on down wires on the Regional Rail lines. We will keep our fingers crossed we will be free and clear today. No problems up and over walt whitman bridge but both hand on the wheel. You will wills feel wind rocking car coming across any of the area and turnpike connector bridge remains closed to vehicle traffic. Karen and thomas, back over to you. We will be whoever you want us to be. 4 18.
