We have an innocent 56 year old woman, driving her kia sole, waiting for light to change, at 52nd and locust just past 7 00 last night. We look at video number one there is black nissan goes through that red light and smashes into the kia sole with such force, it throws it completely out of the street and across the sidewalk, what you see here now in video number two, as the kia is just smashed beyond on live yan, the 56 year old woman driving it, not even moving at the time, pronounced dead within the hour by 8 10 p. M. The two guys inside the nissan only hurt slightly in the crash. And not hit by the earlier gunfire, although, their nissan has bullet holes in it. And inside the Nissan Police found a 9millimeter gun with one of those extended magazines, that holds many bullets. Police got Surveillance Video showing them what they had heard on the street, doctor they were on patrol. Gun fight, car to car, between the guys in the black nissan, and guys in a white car, that they still havent found yet. We pulled video from a store around 48th and westminster. And we see depicted in that video this car, the nissan, and another vehicle, involved in some altercation, and gunshots were fired from the black nissan, and a white vehicle, so there was a shoot that did occur, the officer did follow that vehicle, but their lights and sirens on, the car does not stop. They pursue that vehicle for several blocks to the intersection of 52nd and locust, which is directly behind me. At that time the nissan that is being pursued by at least two Police Vehicles strikes a vehicle that is going eastbound on locust street, striking that vehicle, unfortunately, the driver of that vehicle was pronounced at Presbyterian Hospital around 8 10. So, karen, just as it is standard in all police shootings, to have internal affairs look at the case, theyll look at this case to justify the Police Pursuit, which will likely go as definitely being justified, because they had guys shooting a gun outside two moves cars. They just cant let those guys drive off and continue a gun battle through the street of philadelphia. Investigators say they received a tip that the suspects car was at an auto body shop in frazier, chester county. That is about 30 plus miles from the city of philadelphia. Police believe that this was the car involved in the fatal hitandrun of eight year old gianna powell, the little girl killed two weeks ago when she and her brother were walking home from school, and attempted to cross lansdowne avenue at 63rd street. This week we reported that a reward in this case had reached 45 grand with help from the mayor, f. O. P. , and the childs family. The victims family had a press conference earlier this week, and appeared on good day philadelphia yesterday asking the person responsible to turn his or herself in. We told but this story yesterday on the morning news, well, there is a picture of the Person Police say is responsible. Thirtytwo year old ceasar or telling a. Police say it went to him because they saw him breaking into a car. Then he punched, kicked, head butted and bit the two officers breaking through their skin. I know an officer a lot of times, 35 years ago, got bitten by a female. He was multiple surgeries over the course of years, i end mean, the infection set in, tore his body up. Human bite, human mouth not the best thing in the world sometimes when you talk about breaking skin. Both officers went to the hospital to have their wounds cleaned.
