Chaos continues on the street of charlotte, North Carolina as protests continue over a deadly officer involved shootingment one protesters on life support. This morning, reporters covering the story targeted and more Police Officers have been injured. Now, a state of emergency has been declared in the state of North Carolina around charlotte. The demonstrations turned into riot. All of this in response to conflicting stories about the shooting dealt of 43 year old keith lamont scott, by police. Police and witnesses of the shooting offering two very different stories here. So jenny joyce will break this down. Yes, good morning, guys. Two nights every extreme chaos in charlotte, now our own Police Commissioner, richard ross, is en route to the trouble city, and it was part of a pre planned trip to speak as a mentor to the Aspiring Police commissioners, talk about timing, his speech comes as Police Civilian tensions are specially high. Several people were injured in the riots, including these two protesters, lying on the ground, one of them was shot, and is in Critical Condition at the hospital. City Officials Say it was not at the hands of one of their Police Officers. Overnight groups of protesters could be seen trying to stop cars driving on the highway in charlotte. Several cars tried to dodge protesters, and push on through. Just before 10 00 p. M. Last night, thats when one person was shot, and critically wounded. Other people, including reporters, trying to cover the riots, were attacked. Windows shattered, and small fires were set. Police once again used riot gear and sprayed tear gas on the group that was creating dangerous situation for a second night. One protester that we talk to said even though conditions are dangerous, she is not leaving because she believes in the groups message. I is her after purpose, sir. I is her after purpose. My father serves a purpose. My brother serves a purpose. Im here because, guess what, whether im here, im in school, im in my car, you say, okay, a man got shot over here, right . So you basically said why would i put myself in danger. Exact. I guess what . I could be at work, at school, in my car, i could still get shot. Protesters angry about the state of police shootings, housing complex, police say the man had a gun, a black Police Officer shot and killed him, scotts neighbors and his family said he was holding a book. Video that far shooting has not been released. The officer who shot and killed scott is on administrative leave as the shoot something investigated. Mike anal next. Mike, police say they found blood trail that leads into philly. But first we go to yeadon where they believe this all started. Thats where dave kinchen is now, dave . Reporter a lot of moving part here. I want to show you the scene, literally just got here 600 block of bailey road in yeadon right across from the Police Department here. You can see, an ambulance and a police car, and crime tape, were told that police got a call of a stabbing and were told by police possibly even a throat slashing here. Police finds a 32 year old woman bleeding heavily and un respond i have. I want to go to skyfox video because we are told by investigators even in philly that there was a blood trail that went into philly. The cobbs creek section, cobbs creek section, 6200 block of baltimore there. That this blood trail took place near a cemetery there that could be related to the suspect in this case. Now, again, this all happening around 3 00 in the morning. Police getting a call after 32 year old woman bleeding heavily and unresponsive on the 600 block of bailey road in yeadon, across from the Police Department, a call of a stabbing and possibly a throat slashing according to investigators that i spoke with, and while they investigate here, philly police get information of a blood trail in the cobbs creek section of philadelphia. The 6200 block of baltimore, near a cemetery, blood trail there that could be linked to the suspect in this case, again, we dont no the victim s we dont know exactly what happened here, what transpired, were still trying to get all of that sorted out, and the police here are still trying to get all of that sorted out. The fbi is looking for two men who handled the bomb that did not explode inside of a suitcase in new york city saturday night. The fbi says these guys, these two, were seen on camera approaching the suitcase that contained the Pressure Cooker bomb. Apparently they didnt know there was a bomb inside. Two men removed the device, and then walk away with the suitcase. Investigators say, these men are not considered suspect. They want to talk to them as witnesses. And are in no danger every being arrested. Man, they came close to getting blown up. Well 6 08, back at home, 7eleven cashier taken to the hospital after suffering head injuries during robbery. It happened just before 1 00 this morning on the 1400 block of city avenue in lower merion. Right now, police are looking for two men who they say hit the cashier on the head before taking the money. If you know anything about this crime, call police. Another guy with a gun tried to rob a local store, then took off running. What caused him to run away before he could get any cash. So we get live to charlotte where we have a reporter there, logan cheryle, logan is the National Guard come in yet . Reporter yep, alex, mike, good morning, they are on their way from what ive been toll. We had another crew that was just at the National Guard armory here outside of uptown charlotte about 15 minutes ago. They actually just arrived on scene here in the last couple every minutes. They said that when they left, things were starting to get pick up, things were starting to move this way. But dow want to repaint the scene for you. So yesterday evening at about 4 30, a peaceful group of protesters gathered right in uptown charlotte. They stood therefore about an hour. Then they marched down to another part of the city, called marshall park, where at 7 00 p. M. They were going to have a million youth march, peaceful protest, hundreds if not thousands or more protesters, got down there, and things were very calm. They were as you would expect from any type after normal protest. And then the sun went down. Thats when things, well, quite frankly, they took turn for the worse, and it became chaotic, became chaotic very quickly. At one point throughout the night there was a person shot. We first thought that this person may have died because our chief of police, he had said in the city, as well, said that that person had died from that injury, from that gunshot wound. Then they came back, retract that statement, said the person was on life support, in Critical Condition, at this time, we did not know the condition of that person that was shot. And then, throughout the night, i, myself, arrived out about 9 45 last night, chaotic scene, from charlotte, im born right outside of the city. Ive never seen anything like what i saw last night. Guys, i have to tell you, i hope i never see anything like it again. But right now police have retaken this city. Everything as of right now is safe for people in uptown, highway patrol, like you said, the National Guard have all moved into uptown charlotte. So were seeing our bustline and our blue line light rain, those are operating on normal schedules. There are couple of business was, duke energy, told workers to stay away, do not come to work today. Right now uptown charlotte area is safe. So i heard some reporters maybe were attacked, as well . Give us an update on that. Reporter yes, there were, from another station. We did hear reports about that. We again dont know their condition this morning. Last night and the other night, there were some reporters and some photographers that did get caught in a little crossfire. No one was seriously injured.
