WTXF Good Day Philadelphia At 9 March 16, 2017

Great mood. Because everything weve heard about this woman makes us want to smile, and celebrate. And were just hoping that this goes well, a k a, im hoping that mike doesnt mess it up. What. So hes the problem . Put it on mike . Uhhuh. Well check back in with you guys. How about this . Company from canada charging big mone monday for sharing that childs mouth. Pedal heads, teaching kids how to ride their bikes, for 100 an hour. So theyre going to start the lessons at four Chicago Public schools, that way parent dont have to do it, kids age three to ten, classes run five days over a week. And, teachers expect to have beginners riding by the ends every it, 100 an hour. So it goss got us thinking, big moment, a lot of people have those stories with their parents, my dad or my mom, then they push me on the bike, first moment when you thought would you fall. If they can have classes for certain things when raising a kid, dont want to deal with or dont want to do, would you, if money wasnt an object, would you pay someone else to do it . Thats one of the fun things you do, i love teaching my kids how to ride a bike, and we have great free resources here in the city, bike coalition, tell you how to get the right bike, let you borough one, dont have to spends any money to teach your kids how to do it, fun, just find Church Parking lot or someplace that wont have a lot of cars in it, teach your kid how to do it, i would never trade that in million years. To push your child with no training wheels and tell them to hang on. I took care after little one for awhile, i had the opportunity to teach them how to ride a bike. It is joy. Just to see that, and like ah, i helped him out, i keith aid that special moment. But maybe for some parent they dont have the time . So resource it out have someone else take care of it, maybe also frustration, do you ever get frustrated with something . Totally frustrated why you have kids. Why not put the whole parenting thing on somebody else, nannies and everyone else. Theyve not pets. You created people. Trying to share in the joy. What about other things, driving school, everyone teaches their kids how to drive and you pass that on . I think that can be a little different. There are so many rules and laws in effect, some people just know their own patience, know theyre nervous drivers as they are, and thats just nerve wracking so just dont want to do it and put it off. So either built in to teach or maybe not. I wasnt built to do it. My neice asked me to drove with her. I dont even think we got out of the driveway. I was like you are taking a class. I ill help you pay for it or ill pay for it, no, i didnt have the patience, or the nerves. I dont know how some of the driving instructors do it. Slow down now. They have control of the car, right, at the same time . I dont know. But they are memories. What about, though, the talk . You know what i mean, if you could every parent talks how awkward and dont want that conversation. What if you could pay someone to have the talk with the birds and the bees . I think they do that in school, fourth grade. I dont know, they start to have body conversations depending on your school and School District im dreading it, i know im a little too late. A girl, i think my parents had a talk kindergarten, first grade, my old zest in fourth grade. I pretend like this doesnt exist. So i need your advice out there, what am i supposed to do. Do they still have those conversations in cool . They do. They need to talk about girls coming at the age, first time and all of. That will so these conversation also starting early. As you change in your whatever, growing up, sexuality, teen time, they talk about that certainly fifth grade all of though conversations. We didnt have those talks at private catholic. I remember Public School for high school, and we had health class, showed us all of these pictures, oh, okay, i wont do that kind of stuff. But it wasnt about i guess by the time youre in high school youve already grown, but at homy remember my mom, she gave me this book, and showed a woman, and as turning the pages she got a little, you know, things started changing with her and i remember thumbing through it, oh, thats going to happen to me . Like i was so shocked. I really was. Pemberton township, Marcus Newcomb middle school they showed the birthing video. Yes . I dont know if they still show in schools, but the woman giving birth. The whole class was like oh, my god. Ya. It is a quick way to learn. Then the conversation continues at home im sure, they watch this on the screen mommy, guess what i watched today. Guess what i saw. So your time might be coming, car glenn little boys, do you say if they come up mommy what is, do you pass that along to your husband . Who will do that. Sometimes i flake, oh, complicated growing up stuff. I try to move off the topic. And i still have like my parents just had wedding anniversary couple of years ago, so their grand parents, zero, are they going to have more babies . You can get married and have babies, no, no, mimi and pop pop arent having any more children. Were it. Anyway. Are they going to get married and have any babies . Oh,. I have to wise up. You might want to jump on it, one thing i do have to say when i go back home, get updates from my little cousins, my aunt and uncle, theyll hear a lot at school. They come home, mom, whats this . Where did you hear that . You almost haves to catch up with what other par rent doing then their kids come it school and Start Talking about stuff and your child doesnt know anything, and they have an education not in the classroom not with the teachers but with other students . Did your parent come to you when it came to the birds and bees . I dont remember, since i went to private Catholic School we were separated so i was afraid of boys until high school. I had never been in a class with a guy, terrified me, every time, sometimes in hallways pass each other, oh, it is a boy, it is a boy, like it was so scary. So im pretty sure they had the conversation with me because i was like no, ya. And then i got to High School Like this is so much. Because i had uniforms, i had to figure out what to wear, what was cool to wear, you you know, hair and everything be, a and then classes with boys, new school. It was a lot, it was a lot at once. How about you . Still wait to go have the conversation. Really . You never got it . No, no, so many things i still want to know. Oh, stop. No. Thomas . Look, we never had that conversation. Maybe because i was just that kind of kid. I would stay in my room and played video games, you know, did well in school and i was the nerd, so oh, hell eventually get there. But no, we never had that conversation. So did you get it from your friends . You got it from somebody. You got it, ya. Health. Just saying. Eventually i got from somebody. Good point. laughing . Real world experiences. Hands on approach . You evolve. There you go. Just saying, it had to come up . You know, in life . Just digging . Oh, well move on. Yes. Well, some people tweeting, when it came time to do the talk i gave my son a book called whats going on down there. Have you guys, maybe karen you should do that . Books are great, im huge pawn err of books, that might and good way to do it. I did have a tv, my parent had the joy of sex. Thats what you. The. That was huge i never red that. That was scandelous at the time. Yes, from the 70s, right . We didnt have internet, all we had, if you could find a copy, it explains everything. Ya. What . I heard drawings. Yes, there were drawings, different sexual positions, i think thats what it was, youre like what the those books, man, just keeping flipping, youll get something. Darren says kids learn about sex on the school bus, thats why times change, you need to be proactive. She is right. Art goes to schools, kids in my area, im watching the fifth graders, and theyre door many. Cute, sassy, smirk i, and the flirtation cents, so i know that i would realize yesterday it came to me i need to have this conversation sooner than later because it will happen with or without me. You want to have your opinions and values ton. Let us know how that talk goes then, we want to update. So it will be good. There is a new social media sensation taking millions by storm. And get this, hes only seven months old. I want you to meet baby theo. Seven months. Look at ma ma. We couldnt wait to you have here, when we saw that, please, call her right away. Testify see if this is real. What do you want it say . Pretty much since he was born, my mom, who is a huge fan, has been like do you have get this baby to ellen. Every month i post a picture on facebook to my friends and family showing his hair. So can you believe hes only seven months olds . I love this. And ellen keeps talking about oh, hes like a rocker, look at him at 12 weeks, and from our area, merion station, pennsylvania, and his mom, adrianna, she smith add video to ellen, and then 50 million views, thats how many views it got. So this baby, baby theo, is so popular, im loving the hair. Loving t. So cute. She said the first baby couple of years old her a lot of hair, but nothing like this. Dont think, know no one has ever seen, seen a baby with that much huge hair. Almost looked like a wig didnt it in the youtube . Thats what people thought. Ellen is like can i touch it . We have to try to get her on the show. Please if you know of this mama or baby thee, please, we just want it say hello. You know whats so funny, i have the same hair now and i as i did as a baby. Really . Yes, that was me as a child, barely there. Oh, cute. Look at your cheeks. Listen. Four strands of hair that you kind of place . Youre adorable. Thats typical. Thats how most babies are. Thats why that baby is so remarkable. Oh, youre adorable. Look at my chubby cheeks. You had more hair than i did. I had probably one strand. My mom said, you know those babies used to glue the little bo on so you know it is a girl . My mom said she had to do all kind of stuff so people would know, because i was bald. Then got to be like a toddler, then a lot of hair. So some pictures looks like it is sitting on top of my head. Flop. Big bushy hair, in high school. Ya . Uhhuh. Karen, did you have hair as a baby . Not too much. I mean, just normal amount. You know, sometimes girls, either get a lot or just struggling like that for the first two years. You know, until it all comes in, like short hair boy . What about the other ones, they come out with just totally normal. Does it freak you out though your baby hands it to you, and it is like fabio . The other best part, also some video there, where she literally because so cold in the winter right now, that she blow dry the baby hair and has to use her own brushes because the baby brush doesnt work. Remember the anchor hair baddie . That went viral. The babies came out literally look like a and or man, yes. The cutest thing, so it is starting to happen. But with those babies like you mention, karen, where you cant really tell. So bad. You walk up on a stroller like high little one little one . Yes, like cute little boy. And it is a girl. Cute little thats yes appreciate it. Dont identify my babe. I people color code. One of those things, people want to hold out on having a baby, having finding out what theyre going to have, but the problem is then they always have all of their clothes, in yellow, green or purple. And the rest every us, we want to know, make it easy. Oh, your curls, so pretty. Like make mistake . I always have to say, always like because i love going to up babies, oh, so cute. But just like oh, whats their name . But you cant tell sometimes. Little pat. Ya, like come on, help me out. Middle name . So find out the sex. So let us know about baby theo. Witloof see baby theo. This is trending right now, people sharing experiences and thoughts about what they did in the pre internet era. And theyre using the hashtag of course, called hashtag before the internet exist dollars. Okay . So all kind of things people are bringing up. How about this . Before the internet existed, my google, oh, my gosh. Remember that . Oh, my goodness. The decimal system. And then this next one, if you wanted to know what other films a celebrity was in, thousand dollars ask your know it all older brother. Thats true. Or you had to ask your parent, somebody. Sorry, theyre eating dinner theyll call you back. Then the pager came along, you thought were you hot stu. Pull over, who has a quarter, use the pay phone. Those were the days. Just so many, this past weekend at a dinner party, things would come up.
