Sub zero windchills. That is what we are facing when you wake up on sunday. Three things to snow. Brutally cold tomorrow. Highs only 21 to 27. Windchills, maybe 50. Virginia state police want everyone off the roads overnight and into the morning. They said they have already responded to hundreds of accidents caused by poor

Virginia State
police, by 6 00 p. M. This evening, they have responded to 500 accidents in nearly 700 stuck or disabled vehicles by 6 00. All on saturday. Our immediate region picks up about 56 of those incidents. At the moment,
Road Conditions
are in the too bad in northern virginia. But, black ice and treacherous streets are a threat. Temperature in the mid teens. The same goes if you are traveling south and east of here, parts of the state saw close to a foot of snow. In case you are forced to get behind the wheel, we asked drivers which precautions they take. Just common sense. Make sure i have my ice scraper and gas of course. For the heat. And, just drive carefully. And dont be reckless. Brush out the car before you believe. I just dont drive fast. I drive 40 miles an hour. Dont really hit the gas too hard. suffered minor injuries when his
Police Cruiser
crashed in rockville. The cruiser crashed near talbot street. The officer was eventually extricated from the cruiser. The cause of the crash now remains under investigation. Saturday turned out to be a snowy blustery day for much of the mid atlant fell in saint marys. Five to seven inches of snow accumulated. That made for some dangerous driving conditions and traffic problems. The scene, though, very different in the dc metro area which saw only about a half inch of powdery snow. Nearly three tractor trailers were involved. No one was seriously injured. The traffic was backed up for miles. It was terrible. I just kind of keep listening to the radio. Seeing what is going on. A passer by spotted the car in a retention pond this morning. Inside, rescuers found the body of 29yearold ibraham sow. Firefighters pulled the car out of the pond. They are still trying to determine what caused his death. No word yet on how the car ended up in the pond either. One person is hospitalized with severe burns tonight after a firey overnight car crash that left two others dead. Dc police spent most of the day investigating that crash along new york avenue in northeast near the arboridum. Two of the victims were ejected from the vehicle which caught fire.
