That ended with a double shooting literally just about four hours ago. This all happened only two blocks away from the 4d Police Station here on Georgia Avenue in northwest. Lets take a look at the scene just two blocks away when our crews arrived, it was very active with a number of officers descending upon the stevens fort stevens place apartments. This is on 13th and fort Stevens Drive northwest. It was shortly after 2 00 a. M. , two men were shot. Sources at the us one man was a Security Guard at the apartment, shot in the neck. The other man shot in the chest. Police have not confirmed that information to us but weve been communicating with detectives all morning long who now tell us they do believe at this point in the investigation the two men shot at each ot her. We dont know the circumstances that led to the shooting but they do confirm that both men shot at each other. Police are working to other double shootings from last night. The first happened in the 1100 block of eaton street southeast. One person died there at the scene bringing d. C. s homicide rate to 119. This happened around 10 00 last night. At last check both victims are still aleve. No alive. No word from police on possible suspects in this case either. An air strike has been carried out on a north city. Kandz is the first city seized since the first u. S. Led invasion in 2001, the air strike was conducted in order to eliminate a threat to the force. Happening today, d. C. Fire and ems chief gregory dean will push for dramatic changes involving ambulance service. He plans to ask the city council for authority to hire an outside company to provide service. His plea comes after a 5month old baby stopped breathing. Firefighters rushed him to the hospital in the back of an engine since the closest ambulance was seven miles away. Kindergarten kids, you must have two doses of the chicken pox vaccine. Seventh graders must have a round of shots known as tdap. That includes diphtheria, pertussis and the meningitis vaccine and tetanus. If your student does not have these shots they will not be allowed in school on thursday. You may also be required to provide proof of that vaccine.
