That is three feet above flood stage. Here at home, were off to a chilly start for the new year. At least it is not raining. We have a first look at the forecast with allison. We have had a soggy couple of days, of course, nothing like that. We just had nuisance rain. Each and every day, for what seems like the last week. And we are starting off dry. But these clouds, they just will not budge. And here is the good news, as we head into 2016. We will see some more sunshine. But with that, comes more typical temperatures for this time of the year. Definitely feels a little bit more like january. We got away with a mild december. The warmest on record. And not the case as we head into the next two days. 45 degrees, it is still cloudy and with that little bit of a wind, it is not much, it is not breezy out there but it feels into the upper 30s for much of the area. And so even farther north, through places like state college, and they are seeing a lot of lake effect snow through erie and parts of new york and still dealing with the clouds. They are going to hold on for a few more hours. But we are anticipating them to go away around sunset. And clear up for the overnight hours. That will call for a very cold night. And the temperatures right now, 45 for annapolis and into the upper 30s, as you head areas north and west. The university of texas researchers were able to correct the gene mutation that causes the disease in mice. Upper 20s. For the suburbs. Lower 30s. So if youre getting on the morning jog, getting on your new years resolution, it will be cold out there. You got to bundle up. Dry and sunny.
