Its her task and shes willing to take it. Explaining whats going on with the weather. As we said yesterday, were cold one minute. Were warm the next. Cold again. Snow, rain. And then what else . Then actually its going to be mild again this weekend. Im starting the think what could i do outside this weekend . Yes. You dont really think about that. When it comes to february weekend planning. No. Youre not thinking maybe i should go for a walk or maybe that long run. It is heart month and were celebrating heart love and yeah find something to do outside this weekend. That we can to be quite nice especially not only just nice but by february standards pretty glorious. A lot of snow lovers i know i hear you. You are just kind of not going to endorse anytime now but seeing some snow, i have some snow for you. But its going to be so warm that a lot of it is going to melt. So lets explain here. Gh temperatures. 62 for frederick and 64 for gaithersburg and 65 for waldorf and keep on increasing for a little bit head to near 70 degrees for some areas. Now the winds are going to pick up. And thats not going to make it feel 70 degrees. But it is going to be gusty around 6 00 tonight were kind of gusts counting gusts as high as 30 miles per hour. When you are walking the dog you will notice that. All right today our records are are easily are easily going to be beat. And then tonight, were going to be breaking low High Temperature minimum temperature okay that sounds like an oxymoron. Let me explain. Overnight tonight very warm overnight low temperatures. Its going to be the warmest overnight low temperature on this date by first thing tomorrow morning okay . So mid 60s by 8 00 and 10 00 were still in the 60s and we could have a quick passing shower overnight still breezy into the overnight hours. Now were talking snow. Lets fast forward to thursday morning. Now if the ground were cold, for a while, wed be talking about a couple of inches here. Yeah. Absolutely. However, i think this does a how much were going to see when you factor in the fact that its going to be really warm. About a half inch on grassy surfaces and elevated surfaces and higher in elevation we will see a couple of inches. Delays i think would be more likely for that maryland panhandle area. So even though there is a lot of moisture headed our way, the impact its going to be low as the temperature. The roads are not only going to be above 32 theyre going to be near 40 degrees. And much of the snow comes on through. Thats way too warm. So many of the main roads are going to be just fine but were talking about an inch or so for some areas. So lets time it out for you. We have gusty conditions today up to near 70 degrees. So winds will continue overnight. Now by tomorrow, mostly cloudy. The winds start to turn tomorrow. Kind of a couple of passing showers in the afternoon. But generally pretty dry for your wednesday. This is 1 00. Low 60s upper 50s. Now for tomorrow, the 10 30, showers already approaching and this is where we could see a start to some maybe accumulation on the hayer elevations higher elevations. Showers approach and now this is getting into the time frame of the morning commute. Thats why keeping a very close eye on it. This is 6 00. This is prime time. People are getting out on the roads heading to work. Look at the surface temperature. 41 degrees . Thats not going to stick. Now if you get anything cold enough it will start to stick. And then later on in the day, well still have lingering snow showers and the temperatures will fall all day long. And not going to allow that could allow something to stick. Were going to watch it closely and have first alert live doppler out and about making sure everything is melting on contact. We dont have any issues for the morning. All right 68 degrees for today. Record highs, tomorrow record high is 68. So were close to it. Evening showers changing to snow. By first thing thursday morning. Much of the activity is over by the morning. 41 for friday and there you go, your weekend 57 on saturday. 65 with an isolated shower on sunday. Well be right back. One of many pieces in my life.
