[ bells chiming ] reporter the carrilon has a tradition dating back 500 years. Its actually an older mechanism than the gallows. It is truly the best job there is and theres nothing id rather do than play the carrilon. Its like playing a huge piano on its side. Theres no room for stage fright because whatever you play its going to be heard by a Million People all over, but i listen for the balance of the bells and the melody and i, you know, realize why im here and what im doing. Today is a very solemn religious holiday, so im playing for sacred reasons. The baton here is like the key to a piano and the wire leads up to a clapper inside the bell and depending how you touch that clammer it will ring soft or loud clapper it will ring soft or loud. Wizards had a great regular nba season. People were singing their praises, but to earn your stripes you got to do well in the playoffs. John wall knows that saying to legitimize his stardom anything less than the Eastern Conference Finals would be a disappointment. The wiz open the playoffs with atlant a at verizon, wiz looking to make a statement late 2nd quarter, wiz down 6. Let him take over the game and he makes great decisions. Hes a high iq basketball player. I go to the game at different ways. I think thats what makes me a great player early on. If im not scoring, ive got to be aggressive both ends of the floor. I might not get the shot, my teammates need me to be aggressive to get those guys their shots. Theres big stars like wall and ovie for the caps and this guy bryce harper for the nats, mvp two years ago back to try to regain that form as nats try to take the series over the phillies, another afternoon tilt, final game in the series, teddy looking to win the president s everies race until the president s race until the easter bunny with the flying tackle. Look out, bunny two out, two on and look who comes through with the dramatic walkoff, bryce harper second homer of the game, walkoff style. Nats win, baby, 64. Wheres the chocolate syrup . Ive gotten the chance to talk with a lot of caps fans the last few years and there is still and understandably so great concern despite how good the team was in regular season. They are bracing for another major letdown. Caps, well, they fa in game two late last night, toronto 43. Home ice it was, that advantage no longer there, series even 11 as they shift to toronto for game three. Caps players say they are not panicking. It was fun. Its a fun moment. Thats why we play 82 games to be in this moment. I think we play physical already. I think we have plenty of chances to score, but we didnt. This is fun sitting here in overtime and knowing that you could be the one that ends it. Its a great feeling. We expect a long series against toronto and well battle as long as we have to. Not going to win them all and you dont want it to be easy. Its one of the beautiful things about playoffs is how hard it is. Game three tomorrow night. I thought it was going to be a sweep. I still think the caps will survive this series at least. You cant expect them to go undefeated on their way to the stanley cup. If they can win 12 times and still be champs. Im concerned about the bullpen for the nats. They won today. Worry another day. Another mild to warm day tomorrow with a few showers south especially in the afternoon, really nice tuesday, warm thursday but looks like a lot cooler next weekend. Thanks so much for watching.
