One death is being investigated as surfrelated and this highrisk show isnt over yet. Along the Southern California coast, nature is treating wave watchers to a show unlike any theyve ever seen. These guys getting crazy rides and people cheering on the beach. Its a good show for free. Its exciting to see this much surf. I dont think weve seen that in a decade or so. Reporter the massive waves were relentless from Newport Beach where this boogie border was thrown skyhigh to catalina where vehicles were tossed ashore to malibu where water threatened multibilliondollar homes and damaged a pier. Its all because of a Tropical Storm marie, 8 miles west of baja peninsula. Even surfers like Laird Hamilton couldnt resi caught in this video riding directly under the pier.
