Travis couple shows up for vaccine appointments to an empty tent; city says sorry, appointments were overbooked Updated Mar 10, 2021; Posted Mar 10, 2021 Facebook Share STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Like many Staten Island residents, it took Bill and Maria Castello three weeks to snag a coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine appointment at the city Health + Hospitals Gotham Health/Vanderbilt clinic in Clifton. The husband and wife were ecstatic — Bill has an underlying heart condition, having previously survived a heart attack, and Maria is a therapist and treats patients in-person daily. Their appointments were scheduled for Sunday at 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. “We don’t typically stay up that late, but we were happy to get an appointment,” the Travis residents told the Advance/SILive.com.
