HAMPSTEAD — Trudy Anderson Dixon, 67, peacefully passed away Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, at her home. Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Ruth Cloer Anderson of Alexis; husband, Irl Dixon; son, Jimmy Dixon, and his wife, Allison, of Hampstead; granddaughters, Olivia and Billie; and brothers, Carl Anderson of Alexis and Jeff Anderson, and his wife, Karen, of Raleigh. Trudy was born Sept. 17, 1953, in Gaston County; grew up in Alexis; and attended Stanley High School. In 1984, she began a career in property management, and by the end of the late 1980s, she had risen to become apartment manager of several of the major apartment communities in Charlotte.
