Aboriginal detective Toni Alma has her life all worked out. But two weeks ago, Toni broke up with her white boyfriend Nick, and she doesn't know why she's suddenly acting out. Rhonda gives Toni one last chance: to investigate a car accident in a remote Aboriginal community, Perda Theendar, which has left a girl in a coma. Toni resists, but Rhonda is insistent: Toni's ties to the community is what makes her qualified to undertake the investigation.
