Turkey and the New Libyan Government: Continuity, Change, an

Turkey’s role in Libya has been crucial over the past two years. Ankara’s military intervention alongside the UN-backed Government of the National Accord (GNA) was essential in stopping Khalifa Haftar’s military offensive in western Libya. As the new interim Government of National Unity (GNU) was sworn in mid-March, Turkey has immediately shown its commitment to maintaining and strengthening this relationship.
