Victorville Daily Press A fatal shooting in Hesperia early Thursday morning has led to the arrests of a man and a woman, both residents of the city. Deputies responded at 4:15 a.m. to the 11200 block of Third Avenue and found 43-year-old Christian Ruiz suffering from gunshot wounds, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said Saturday. Ruiz was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Homicide detectives learned that the man’s girlfriend was sleeping in a trailer on the property “when she woke to the sound of gunshots and found Ruiz down on the floor,” authorities said. “Information received during the investigation identified Andrew Espinoza as the suspect in the shooting,” the sheriff’s department said.
