The suspect vehicle then traveled into Johnson County. At that time the Patrol terminated the pursuit. Then at 1:59 a.m., Pettis County Deputies located the vehicle entering Pettis County, west of La Monte. Deputies attempted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle, which fled from Deputies. As the pursuit entered La Monte, Deputies were able to deploy stop sticks, which flatted three of the suspect's tires. Deputies pursued the vehicle east on Highway 50 into the Sedalia city limits. Pettis County Deputies in the meantime requested assistance from the Sedalia Police Department. Police shut down intersections on Broadway to prevent innocent motorists from being harmed.
