Two Hospitalized After Multi-Car Newhall Crash, Closing Lyons Avenue A Newhall crash involving multiple vehicles closed Lyons Avenue and sent two people to the hospital Thursday afternoon. The crash was reported at 3:30 p.m. Thursday on the 23000 block of Lyons Avenue in Newhall, according to Supervisor Bernard Peters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. “Two patients were being sent by ground to the hospital,” Peters said. “There were three ambulances ordered so it’s possible there were other, non-life-threatening injuries.” A helicopter was initially requested to the scene, but was later canceled, according to Fire officials. Three ambulances were requested to the scene, however, the total number of injuries is unknown as of Thursday afternoon.
