Two men arrested in alleged vehicle theft - Roswell Daily Re

Two men from Hobbs are facing criminal charges after allegedly stealing a truck Saturday from outside a Roswell residence, hitting a mailbox and then fleeing law enforcement.

Kailen Gonsalves-Kamalii, 23, and Fernado Munoz, 22, were apprehended at separate locations Saturday night after the theft was reported, according to documents filed Monday in Chaves County Magistrate Court.
Munoz and Gonsalves-Kamalii were each charged with unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and resisting, evading or obstructing an officer.
Gonsalves-Kamalii is also charged with one count each of criminal damage to property, under $1,000; leaving the scene of an accident, no bodily harm or death; failure to give immediate notice of accidents; and leaving the scene of an accident involving damage to vehicles.
