Two men charged after stabbing in Blackburn street Detectives investigating a stabbing in Blackburn have charged two men. Mahtab Hanif, 22 and Ramzan Hanif, 24, both of Goldhey Street, Blackburn, have been charged with Section 18 wounding following a serious assault in Blackburn. Police were called to Walnut Street in the town at shortly before 4pm on Saturday to a report of an assault. A man in his 50s was taken to hospital with a number of stab injuries described as serious. His condition is stable. After a number of enquiries, two men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder however following consultation with the CPS, they have been charged with section 18 wounding.
