A 49-year-old female and a 59-year-old male were arrested last night and charged for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition in two different operations. These arrests followed after Tactical Response Team deployed at Qumbu, Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) and Provincial Detectives conducted an operation for illegal firearms and ammunition at Mncetyana location, Tsolo and Qumbu areas on 23 April 2021. A 59-year-old male suspect from New Homes location, Qumbu was arrested and charged for illegal possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition. One (01) 9mm Norinco with a magazine and one live rounds were recovered. A 49-year-old female suspect was arrested for possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition Suspect arrested at Azania Hlongwane Street, Tsolo.
