LEOGANE, Haiti — Two Richland Center men died in a plane crash that killed four others in Haiti on Friday. Trent Hostetler, 35, and John Miller, 43, were on a Mission trip through the organization Gospel to Haiti flying from Port au Prince to Jacmel when their plane crashed somewhere near Leogan. Darwin Hostetler the organizations stateside administrator and cousin to Trent said it’s common for members of their group to take smaller planes or helicopters to avoid gang violence which can be a problem in the country.
