Two sheriff's deputies dismissed in violation of fraternization policy CHILLICOTHE- Two deputies in the corrections division of the Ross County Sheriff's Office were dismissed in early March due to fraternization with inmates, according to the Ross County Sheriff's Office. Deputies Sarah Smith and Ashley Foster, both of which were in their first year at the Ross County Sheriff's Office, were dismissed after an investigation led to findings that the two deputies were violating the code of ethics for jail employees. "We had some information that we had a female employee who may be in communication with an inmate outside the scope of her duties — even while they were off-grounds through our phone system," said Major William White, Jail Administrator for the Ross County Sheriff's Office.
