RYEDALE Family History Group have added two more talks to their programme of virtual talks for the spring. The forthcoming talks are firstly on February 17 at 7.30pm when Karen Adams a York based archaeologist and historian will talk about the ‘Trials and Executions at York’, discovering where the gallows of York once stood, the trials that took place, the criminals involved and their fate, such as Dick Turpin and Sir Robert Aske. Following on the next talk will be on March 17 at 7.30pm the title is ‘Behind the scenes working for Who Do You Think You Are’ by Gill Blanchard talking about the popular television series and what happens in the making of the programmes.
