“Both businesses must remain closed during the suspension period. This suspension followed closure orders from Vancouver Coastal Health for failing to comply with (provincial health officer) orders.”
The orders were issued on March 29 and outlaw pubs, restaurants or cafés from serving food or drinks at tables indoors. Businesses with outdoor patio space are allowed to serve patrons outside. All indoor group activity at gyms and indoor church services was also banned. The rules — put in place to help bring down an accelerated COVID-19 case count — are in place until April 19 and could be extended.
