UAW strike at Kirchhoff Automotive plant in Tecumseh resolved The Daily Telegram TECUMSEH — Negotiators for Kirchoff Automotive and the United Auto Workers reached a tentative agreement Tuesday evening to resolve a strike at the Kirchhoff plant in Tecumseh. UAW Local 3000 and Kirchhoff reached a tentative agreement at 6:56 p.m. Tuesday, said a letter from UAW Region 1A director Chuck Brown that was posted to the UAW Local 3000 Membership Information Facebook page. The strike began Tuesday morning after union and company negotiators failed to reach an agreement on a new contract to replace the deal that expired on April 5. Negotiators had reached a tentative agreement on April 5, but the union membership directed its negotiators to return to the bargaining table, posts on the union Facebook page said.
