University of Hawaiʻi Regent Michelle Tagorda was honored by the Board of Regents for her seven years of service to the university with a proclamation of appreciation. Tagorda’s term ends June 30, 2021. Tagorda has been the consummate student advocate for much of her student and professional life, serving as a member of the Campus Center Board as a student, and subsequently dedicating herself to inspiring students to pursue rewarding careers in public health and beyond in her role as an academic advisor. She announced that she will be pursuing a doctoral degree in the fall and looks forward to continuing her education with the university.
