Paul and Carolyn return for another Sunday Escape, playing their picks of the best of the week’s new music as well as whatever else has been the soundtrack to their weeks. There’s new music from Sofie Royer, Hand Habits, Bright Eyes, Sister Ray, Jenny Lewis, and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats. And, whilst it’s a bit quieter on the new albums front, the week saw the release of the 10th anniversary reissue of Daft Punk’s final album, complete with new tracks. Sunday is Mother’s Day in Hong Kong, so there ll be at least one song relating to that, plus all the regular features including a cover of a Magnetic Fields song by Tracey Thorn and Jens Lekman, and a track from a Scottish indie-pop band who had limited success back in the mid-80s but are still around today. That’s joined by another Super Clever Music Mystery Quiz and of course better biscuits than last week.
