EM Bureau Dimapur/Wokha, Sep. 26 (EMN): Union Minister of State for Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, Electronics, and Technology, Rajeev Chandrashekhar, on Monday, asked the Zunheboto district administration to develop a skill development plan that maps local aspirations and creates opportunities for jobs and entrepreneurships. “Our emphasis should be making optimum use of local resources and reduce migration to urban centres,” he said. He stated this during his visit to Zunheboto district, the first Union minister to do so in a span of four decades. The minister also urged the people to make government colleges part of the skill development plan for the youth, and create institutions as part of the ecosystem, an update informed. In the agriculture and handicrafts sector, he suggested building connection with the market and scaling it. “Structural issues should be looked at by the state government, try to connect the entrepreneurs to the market, and create an atmosphere for the investors,” he said. The minister also reviewed the implementation of centrally-sponsored schemes and urged the functionaries to work until the last mile is covered.
