LMFM By Marc O'Driscoll Lecturers say they have been forced to bring DkIT management to the Labour Court for arbitration. The management of Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) has refused to return to talks with lecturers in an effort to resolve a dispute, which has seen students have their exam results withheld. Members of the Teachers Union of Ireland (TUI) at DkIT say management has refused to return to the Workplace Relations Commission and has rejected a joint referral of the matter to the Labour Court. The union says it’s been left with no choice but to effectively force the management of DkIT to come before the Labour Court for arbitration by invoking Section 20 of the Industrial Relations Act.
