Ricki Michiels, Mental Health Transition worker at Walpole Island First Nation Warming Shelter, prepares some beds at the shelter. The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton has committed $30,000 over the next 12 months to assist in the renovations allowing the shelter to safely help homeless women, and to allow for proper safety and other health requirements at the shelter. The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton announced two Critical Service grants this week, as donations of stocks and other equities are being received.
