University extends Easter Term by a week for "wider student experience" – Palatinate

Palatinate has confirmed that next term will be extended for a week so that colleges can provide events that tie into the “Wider Student Experience” (WSE).
The original end of term date, 25th June, will be postponed to 2nd July, so that there is more opportunity for colleges and societies to organise events after lockdown restrictions are lifted on the 21st.
The decision comes after the government announced its roadmap out of lockdown, with the 21st June acting as the point where “all legal limits on social contact” are hoped to be lifted.
In an email from Collingwood College, it was stated that “the University has agreed an additional week for WSE activity”. The plan was also independently corroborated by multiple JCR Presidents.
