IPOH: Setting an age limit for elected leaders is unnecessary, says Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman. The Umno supreme council member said it was more important on what the leaders can contribute to the country. He said having young leaders who are capable physically and mentally are good, but they lack experience. “There is more than meets the eye when it comes to the responsibility of elected leaders. “There are young and senior politicians who don’t perform, ” he told a press conference after attending an event at a college here on Wednesday (April 14). “On a personal note, it is a good idea (to have young politicians), so that seniors like me can get some rest, ” the Pasir Salak MP added.
