UPDATE: Alabama Highway 77 open after crash, caution still urged

UPDATE: Alabama Highway 77 is open to traffic again, but police continue to urge motorists to take it slow in the Snyder Road area.
Southside police encourage motorists to avoid Alabama Highway 77 near Snyder Road  as they continue to investigate and clear up a two-vehicle crash, Chief Blake Ragsdale said.
The crash occurred about 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Capt. Jay Freeman said traffic was likely to be blocked on the roadway for some time.
He said there were injuries in the crash, that someone from each vehicle was flown from the scene.
