UPDATE: Fire alert issued today for Clay, Becker, Mahnomen, Otter Tail, Hubbard counties due to near-critical risk
Becker, Otter Tail, Mahnomen, Hubbard, Wadena, and other area counties are at dangerously high risk of fire today and tonight, according to a special weather statement put out by the National Weather Service in Grand Forks on Thursday, April 22.

With extreme fire risk conditions across northwest Minnesota today, the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for the following counties: Clay, Kittson, Marshall, Norman, Pennington, Polk, Red Lake, Roseau and Wilkin.
