Authorities believe what transpired leading up to the arrest was a drunken night that resulted in him crashing his SUV and rendering it undrivable. Not to mention threats to hang himself. The audio is said to be Sherman's wife, Ashley Moss, who can be heard telling the emergency operator that her husband had been heavily drinking and was "being aggressive" with her uncle as well as “threatening to kill himself … and sent text messages to people saying he is going to hang himself.”
