The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne announced Thursday through a Facebook post that they have partnered with the Saint Regis Tribal Police to reward upstanding youth in the community.

“This program is based on the simple philosophy that recognizing and enforcing good behavior will inspire and motivate better behavior,” said the MCA in the post.
Police who witness youths doing a variety of things, including being positive, kind, helping others or sharing, will ‘ticket’ them and give them a free coin to local ice cream shop Sweet Treats.
