UW–Madison extends free community COVID-19 testing December 22, 2020 10:00 AM Maija Inveiss NIAID-RML MADISON, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin–Madison in partnership with the federal government and the UW System is extending the days of free COVID-19 testing. A release said the testing at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium originally was scheduled to run through late December. Testing will be extended to Jan. 4-7. There have been nearly 20,000 tests given to the general public through the program which started Nov. 12. After Jan. 4-7, the university will use the site for Safer Badgers, the expanded campus testing program. All remaining rapid test kits will be shared with other UW System testing sites.
