NORTH KINGSTOWNâIn 2018 it was a mandate by the people of North Kingstown to sell its old library building when almost 80 percent of the voters approved the sale during a special election. Now, the next chapter of the old library is one step closer to being written after North Kingstown Town Manager Ralph Mollis presented a $94,000 check to the North Kingstown Free Library Corporation last week after selling the property at 55 Brown Street. According to a statement from the Town of North Kingstown, the building had been vacant since early 2016.  âThe town manager, with the direction and authorization of the North Kingstown Town Council, then entered into a Purchase and Sale Agreement with Eve Clulow to sell the premises for the purchase price of $100,000,â the statement reads.
