MADISON, Wis.– Starting today in Dane County, your shot at a “one and done” shot is back.
Public Health Madison Dane County is offering the Johnson and Johnson vaccine after several weeks of waiting for guidance on safety.
“We wanted to keep seeing those vaccine rates increase. So, we can get shots in arms,” COVID Vaccine Deputy Tess Ellens said.
Public Health had about 1,200 doses of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine ready for people with and without appointments at the Alliant Energy Center this morning.
“Within two weeks after getting your dose, you’re fully protected,” Ellens said. “We still love J&J vaccine and hoping to give it to as many folks as possible within our clinic at Alliant and mobile sites, as well.”
