GALESBURG — Friday, April 17, Cottage Clinics held their first vaccination clinic aimed specifically at those ages 16 and 17. It had 150 doses of the Pfizer vaccine on hand, but by the end of the clinic, much of the supply was returned to the Knox County Health Department. Only 23 Pfizer doses were administered that Friday, Cottage Spokesperson Eileen Inness told The Register-Mail later. As vaccine eligibility has expanded, the willingness to get vaccinated has not matched that expansion. “As we see across the state and in surrounding counties, clinics are currently not filling as quickly as they did in December and January and February with residents,” Knox County Health Department and Unified Command Public Information Officer Erin Olson told The Register-Mail.
