Vaccine solidarity a major focus as PM Modi holds virtual summit with Finnish counterpart

India and Finland on Tuesday held "wide ranging" discussions during a virtual summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his counterpart Sanna Marin which lasted just under an hour.
This was the first interaction between the two Prime Ministers since the Finnish Prime Minister assumed office in 2019.
Both the leaders underlined that the longstanding close relations between India and Finland were based on shared values of democracy, rule of law, equality, and respect for human rights. They reaffirmed their strong commitment to work for multilateralism, a rules-based international order, Sustainable Development Goals and to combat climate change.
