Culture 1 month, 2 weeks On February 3, 2021, William Goh – the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Singapore – went on record to say that vaccines created using cell lines from aborted fetuses are morally acceptable and suitable for consumption by Catholics. In a letter posted on the official website of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Singapore, Goh explained the concept of using cell lines in the development of the COVID-19 vaccines currently available in Singapore – namely the ones created by Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna, and highlighted the fact that none of them actually contained cell lines from aborted fetuses.
