Valley First Credit Union opens its second branch in Kamloops on Monday in a new space adjoining the RiverBend Seniors Community in Brocklehurst. Valley First is a division of First West Credit Union, the province's third largest credit union and one of the oldest in the B.C. Interior. "Kamloops is a flourishing market and we see tremendous opportunity in investing in its future," said Paulette Rennie, Valley First president. The 2,600-square-foot, boutique-style banking location is designed to meet the needs of community members. The credit union has another branch at 100 Seymour St. In addition, Simmons, Black & Emsland Insurance, which is already part of the Valley First Network, will be rebranded as an insurance office for Valley First in early 2013.
