by Craig Takeuchi on February 13th, 2021 at 7:25 PM 1 of 2 2 of 2 Update (February 14): Burnaby RCMP announced in a news release that 68-year-old Thomas Tremblay of Vancouver, who was reported missing on February 12, was located deceased around 11 a.m. in a “remote location” of Byrne Creek Ravine Park. “Our initial investigation has led us to believe that Mr. Tremblay succumbed to the cold weather,” Burnaby RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Brett Cunningham stated. Volunteers of Coquitlam Search and Rescue; the North Shore Search and Rescue helicopter; Vancouver police; Burnaby and Vancouver residents; and others all participated in a search for Tremblay. Burnaby RCMP thanked the efforts of two Burnaby residents, Luna and Greg Hennessey, who took it upon themselves to help with the search and led police to Tremblay.
