Vehicle fire causes traffic on I-70 to back up ABC 17 News Highway patrol crash reports show a crash left a man with serious injuries on Missouri Route 17 around 11 p.m. near North Street Friday. COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) A vehicle fire at mile marker 91 on Interstate 70 caused traffic to back up for seven miles. Crews with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Cooper County Fire Protection District responded to the fire. Crews were able to put the fire out pretty quickly and tow it away from the scene.
