/ Napanee Today May 19, 2021 | 9:00 AM This week is for celebrating the hard workers with the Victoria Order of Nurses across Canada and in Greater Napanee. myFM spoke with Cindy Weese, Manager, home and community Care in Napanee, who says this years theme is Compassion Where It Counts. VON provides many different services to the community including, but not limited to, Meals on Wheels as well as a volunteer transportation program. Weese says that during non covid times, they have respite programs where a caregiver can drop off their loved one for the day at the centre. They also provide an in home respite program, where their PSW’s go into the home and help their clients and give caregivers relief, for typically half a day.
