(WTWO/WAWV) -- The Vincennes Fire Department responded early Tuesday to a reported structure fire; while en route, Dispatch informed the firefighters that they had confirmed entrapment, Battalion Chief Brant Yochum reported. The blaze at 619 N. 7th St. was phoned in at 2:57 a.m. Upon arrival, crews saw smoke emanating from the front of the structure. Vincennes Police Department retrieved one person from the building, while firefighters employed a ladder to rescue two occupants stuck on the second floor. Two more victims were located in a first-floor apartment. Two victims were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital's emergency room with life-threatening conditions.
