Students at Virden Collegiate Institute will be learning from home until at least April 23 after public health officials confirmed that a student had recently tested positive for COVID-19.
In a Monday letter addressed to parents and students, VCI principal Mark Keown stated that the student in question may have been infectious when they attended in-person classes on April 8.
In response to this positive case, Keown and members of the Fort La Bosse School Division decided to initially cancel in-person classes at the Grade 9-12 institution on Monday and Tuesday.
