Volunteers with 'Beautify Fresno' clean up parts of northwest Fresno KFSN Share: FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Dozens of volunteers stepped up to help clean northwest Fresno. Organizers say Saturday's Beautify Fresno event was focused on cleaning up litter on the north and south sides of West Shaw Avenue between Highway 99 and Brawley. More than 80 people showed up to volunteer their time to help clean up the city. "It's exciting to see people come out on a Saturday to give up their weekend to come out and clean up our city," says Mayor Jerry Dyer. "Many people who came out today, they don't even live in this neighborhood but they love their city."
